I was delighted and very proud tp be elected in May 2011 as Labour councillor for the Ryton, Crookhill and Stella ward.
I have lived in Ryton since 1985. Until my retirement in 2007, I worked for Gateshead Council in the Social Services Department.
I am married and have two grown up children who both attended Ryton Schools.
I was honoured to serve as Deputy Mayor in 2014-15 and Mayor of Gateshead in 2015-16.
