I was first elected as a councillor in 2007. I was born at home in Kingston Road, Deckham and I still live within the ward with my husband David, and my daughter Victoria.
Since 2000, I have worked for one of our local Members of Parliament.
I am currently Chair of both the Families and Corporate Parenting Overview and Scrutiny Committees. I am also a Governor at South Street Primary School.
My main interests are the wellbeing and education of our children and the sustainability of Gateshead's communities.
