The Audit and Standards
Committee has the following roles and functions in respect of
standards:
Promoting and maintaining high
standards of conduct by councillors, co-opted members and church
and parent governor representatives;
Assisting the councillors,
co-opted members and church and parent governor representatives to
observe the Council’s adopted Code of Conduct;
Advising the Council on the
adoption or revision of the Code of Conduct;
Monitoring the Code of
Conduct;
Advising, training or arranging
to train councillors, co-opted members and church and parent
governor representatives on matters relating to the Code of
Conduct;
Granting dispensations to
councillors, co-opted members and church and parent governor
representatives from requirements relating to interests set out in
the Code of Conduct;
Dealing with any reports
including investigations from the Monitoring Officer;
And the exercise of the above
in relation to Lamesley Parish Council and its members.

Audit and Standards Committee have been set out in Part 3, Schedule
1 of the Constitution.
