The committee is asked to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on 11 July 2016.

RESOLVED -            That the minutes of the meeting held on 18 March 2016 be agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Report of the Strategic Director, Communities and Environment

The Committee received an update report which asked for approval of the following recommendations.

RESOLVED -             (i)       That a Deed of Dedication be made on Council owned land to:

         a.      Upgrade a section of Footpath Blaydon 14 to bridleway from Point B toPoint C as shown with a solid black line on the plan at the appendix to this minute,

         b.      To upgrade a section of Footpath Blaydon 11 to Bridleway from Point D to Point E as shown with a solid black line on the plan at the appendix to this minute, and

         c.      The dedication of a bridleway from Point A to Point B and Point C to Point D and from Point E to Point F, as shown with a solid green lineon the plan at the appendix to this minute.

     (ii)      That delegated authority be granted to the Strategic Director of Corporate Services and Governance to undertake the following:

                                    To complete and publicise a deed of dedication to:

a.      Upgrade a section of Footpath Blaydon 14 to Bridleway from Point B to Point C as shown with a solid black line on the plan at the appendix to this minute;

b.      to upgrade a section of Footpath Blaydon 11 to Bridleway from Point D to Point E as shown with a solid black line on the plan at the appendix to this minute, and

c.      The dedication of a bridleway from Point A to Point B and Point C to Point D and from Point E to Point F, with a solid green line on the plan at the appendix to this minute.

Report of Strategic Director Communities and Environment

RESOLVED -      (i)       that a Deed of Dedication be made on Council owned land to extend Bridleway Gateshead 1 to link with Bridleway Felling 41 at Felldyke, Wrekenton, Gateshead as shown with a bold black line from Point A to Point B on the plan at the appendix to this minute.

                             (ii)      Grant delegated authority to the Strategic Director of Corporate Services and Governance to undertake the following:

                                       To complete and publicise a deed of dedication to extend Bridleway Gateshead 1 as shown with a bold black line from Point A  to Point B on the plan attached to Appendix to this minute.

RESOLVED -             (i)         That a public path creation agreement is entered into:

a)          to create a bridleway as shown with a green line from Point A to Point B to Point C to Point D and Point G to B at Milkwellburn Wood, Chopwell, on the plan at the Appendix to this minute.

 b)        to upgrade sections of Footpaths Blaydon 11 and 14 to bridleway as shown with a solid black line from Point E to Point D to Point F to Point G at Milkwellburn Wood, Chopwell on the plan at the Appendix to this minute.

                                    (II)        That authority be granted to the Strategic Director of Corporate Services and Governance to undertake to complete the public path creation agreement to:

a.    Create a bridleway as shown with a green line from Point A to Point B to Point C to Point D and Point G to B at Milkwellburn Wood, Chopwell, on the plan at the appendix this minute.

b.    To upgrade sections of Footpaths Blaydon 11 and 14 to bridleway as shown with a solid black line from Point E to Point D to Point F to Point G at Milkwellburn Wood, Chopwell on the plan at the appendix to this minute.

Report of the Strategic Director, Corporate Services and Governance and the Strategic Director, Communities and Environment

The Committee were provided with updates on legal issues regarding Sherburn Towers at Rowlands Gill, the Extinguishment of footpaths 14 and 15 at Bill Quay and a public path creation order at Felling.

The Committee were also updated on works which have been carried out on the Rights of Way Network between July and November.  Works have been carried out at Birtley, Northside and Sheddons Way, Blaydon, Ryton and High Spen and Greenside and Blaydon and North View.
