To consider the following motion:

'That Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972, hereby confers the Honorary Freedom of the Borough upon Peter Mole MBE in recognition of his 42 years’ service as a Gateshead councillor and also for his service to local government regional and nationally; and accordingly it hereby admits Peter Mole as an Honorary Freeman of the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead’.

On the motion of Councillor M Gannon, duly seconded, it was: -

RESOLVED -              That the Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972, hereby confers the title of Honorary Freedom of the Borough upon Councillor Peter Mole MBE in recognition of his 42 years service as a local councillor and also for his service to local government regional and nationally; and accordingly it hereby admits Peter Mole as an Honorary Freeman of the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead.
