The Committee received a report advising them on Enforcement team activity between 22nd November 2023 and 9th January 2024.

 

The Enforcement team have received 145 new service requests. The Enforcement team currently have 513 under investigation, with 262 cases resolved and two pending prosecutions.

The committee received a report advising them on new appeals against enforcement action received and to report the decisions of the Planning inspectorate received during the report period.

 

There has been one new appeal received since an update was last provided to the committee.

 

There have been no appeal decisions received since the last committee.

 

Details of outstanding appeals were attached to the report for information at appendix 2.

The Committee have received a report advising about recent changes to planning legislation.  

 

The Committee were informed of the LURA and subsequent published legislation will bring significant changes to the Planning Service currently offered. As more detailed information is released the Development Management team will focus on reviewing internal process, consultation methods and forms to be ready for the changes.
