I have been a councillor since 1982 for Windy Nook and Whitehills (previously Leam ward), and have been a member of the Labour party since 1971. I am married with two sons. Outside the council, I was an instrument technician before I took early retirement.
My main interest in the Council is Housing - I was vice chairman of the Housing Committee for 15 years.
I am chairman of the Windy Nook Primary School Governing Body and am also a governor of Furrowfield Special School.
