In October 2016, Cabinet agreed to accept
European Structural Investment Funds and Local Growth Funds, and to
match these with Council capital funds, to deliver the Northern
Centre for Emerging Technologies in Baltic Business Quarter in
Bridges ward.
The project has progressed, and this final Cabinet Report will
recommend that approval is given to:
• award a contract of up to £6m to Willmott Dixon, for
the delivery of the Northern Centre for Emerging
Technologies.
• delegate authority to the Strategic Director of Communities
and Environment, in consultation with the Strategic Director,
Corporate Resources, to agree the final terms, scope and costs of
the contract awards.
