The purpose of the Contract for the Provision of Workplace Counselling is to provide a confidential Workplace Counselling Service and to help with the management of employee sickness absence, enabling the Council to develop a working environment that promotes the health and well-being of its employees.

The main function of the service is to provide one to one counselling to support employees experiencing psychological distress that is affecting their health, wellbeing, work attendance or their ability to perform their work duties.
