RESOLVED:

i.                 That the minutes of the meeting held on the 10^th September 2024 were approved as a correct record.

Report of Strategic Director, Economy, Innovation and Growth

The Committee received a report outlining the licensing and gambling applications that have been received by the Local Authority and considered by the sub-committee during the period 6^th April 2024 to 28^th February 2025.

There was three Licensing hearings under the Licensing Act 2003.

There was no License permits granted since the last Committee.

There was no Notifications granted since the last Committee.

There was no Permits granted since the last Committee.

There was 55 registrations since the last Committee.

Report of Strategic Director, Corporate Services and Governance

The Committee received a report to be advised of the amendments to paragraph 8.65 on the Statutory Guidance under s.182 of the Licensing Act 2003.

The guidance amended paragraph 8.65 of the Guidance on the Business and Planning Act 2020 that was modified in response to covid-19 to help support and boost the economy. This amendment is due to expire on 31 March 2025. Any business that took advantage of the easement will need to apply for a variate to their licence in advance of 31 March 2025.

The Local Authority are working with any businesses that may be affected by this.
