Report of the Strategic Director, Corporate Services and Governance Minutes: The Committee received a report informing them of recent guidance issued by the Local Government Association.
On 30 July 2019 the Local Government Association published its Licensing Act 2003 Councillor Handbook, which sets out information about –
· What kind of activities require licensing, and in which circumstances
· The role of Council’s in licensing, including the role of Members and responsible authorities and in terms of enforcement; and
· What can be expected at hearings in terms of procedure and conduct.
