Enforcement Team Activity Report of the Strategic Director, Communities and Environment Minutes: The Committee received a report to inform them of the activity of the enforcement team since last Committee.
The team have received a total of 109 new complaints and have 63 pending prosecutions. The team attended 2 court hearings, 2 of which was finalised, resulting in £447 fines and £516.30 costs.

Report of the Strategic Director, Communities and Environment Minutes: Consideration was given to a report that informed of the progress of enforcement action previously authorised by the Committee.

Report of the Strategic Director, Communities and Environment Minutes: The Committee received a report providing details of progress received and outcomes of decisions received from the Secretary of State during the report period.
The Committee were informed that there have been no new appeals lodged since the last committee.

Planning Obligations Minutes: The Committee were advised that since the last Committee there has been one new planning obligation.
Since the last Committee there have been no new payments received in respect on planning obligations.

Performance of Development Management Report of the Strategic Director, Communities and Environment Minutes: The Committee received a report advising them about the performance of the Development Management Service over the past two years in respect of the work at Planning and Development Committee and planning applications considered through delegated powers.
The Committee were presented with the following table which presented data on the performance of Gateshead Local Planning Authority against the published criteria for assessing under-performance over the past two years. It provides information on the speed of decisions on applications for major and non-major development, for both district matter and county matter authorities.
Designation criteria over two years ending September 2018
In conclusion, the Committee were informed that the Local Planning Authority is performing well and is performing significantly above the threshold for designation.
However due to the very low numbers of County Matter and Major applications and subsequent appeals, a very small number of applications either being delayed or lost at appeal would mean that the Local Planning Authority would fail to meet the targets set.
