Councillor Chris Ord declared and prejudicial and personal interest in Agenda Item 5 Permission in Principle (DC/18/01012/BPIP) as he is Vice Chair of the Friends of Chase Park and removed himself from the meeting, discussion and subsequent voting.

i) That the full planning applications and outline applications specified in the appendix to these minutes be granted, refused or referred to the Department for Communities and Local Government or deferred as indicated subject to the conditions, if any, as specified therein and to any other appropriate conditions of a routine or standard nature.

 

 

ii) That the applications granted in accordance with delegated powers be noted.

Minutes:

A report was submitted to the Committee seeking approval for a Permission in Principle for Former Chase Park Depot, off Rectory Lane, Whickham.

 

The report had previously been presented to Committee on 9 January 2019 and was deferred for a site visit.

 

RESOLVED –             That Permission in Principle be Granted.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report that informed of the progress of enforcement action previously authorised by the Committee. 

 

Councillors asked to be kept updated as much as possible in regard to any enforcement work undertaken within their ward.  A summary of cases was requested over a 6/12 month period to see how case numbers go up or down.

 

RESOLVED:            

 

That the information be noted.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report that informed of the progress of enforcement action previously authorised by the Committee.

 

The Committee considered that items as requested should be removed from the report as requested.

 

It was reported that there have been several areas where work has been completed or is underway to make improvements following the work of the team.

Minutes:

There have been three new appeals lodged since the last committee.  There have been two new appeal decisions received since the last Committee, both appeals were dismissed by the inspector.

 

There has also been one appeal cost decision which was dismissed.
