Minutes:

The Committee received an application on behalf of Sage Gateshead, for the premises to be approved as a venue for the solemnisation of civil marriages and registration of civil partnerships.

The Committee received an update of progress at Gateshead International Stadium since the previous safety certificate was amended at Regulatory Committee on 21 June 2016.

 

The Committee were also asked to approve updates and amendments to the safety certificate as set out in the report.

 

RESOLVED -

That the amendments to the Gateshead International Stadium General Safety certificate be approved.

Minutes:

RESOLVED -

i)

The Committee were satisfied that applicant RC/05/17 was a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Driver licence at this time; and as such that he be granted a licence for a three year duration subject to the Council’s standard licence conditions.

 

ii)

The Committee were satisfied that applicant RC/06/17 was a fit and proper person to hold both a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver licence at this time; and as such that he be granted a dual licence for a three year duration subject to the Council’s standard conditions.

 

iii)

The Committee were not satisfied that applicant RC/07/17 was a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Driver Licence at this time: and as such that his application be refused.

 

iv)

The Committee were not satisfied that applicant RC/08/17 was a fit and proper person to hold either a Hackney Carriage and/or Private Hire Driver Licence at this time; and as such that her application be refused.

 

v)

The Committee were satisfied that applicant RC/09/17 remains a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Driver Licence at this time; subject to his adherence to the following conditions which are:-

 

 

The Licensee shall not drive in the hours of darkness, that being at any time in the period between half an hour  after sunset and half an hour before sunrise; and

 

 

The Licensee shall provide by 1 August 2017 a further report detailing the condition of his eyesight, and repots thereafter every three months until such a time as he is certified as being free of any conditions affecting his sight.
